Star wars mashup5/7/2023 ![]() ![]() Spider-Boy - the Amalgam version of Ben Reilly’s Spider-Man and the leather jacket clad Superboy - is eventually able to trick Bizarnage and imprison it, but not before fans got to see the freakiest version of both Marvel’s murderous symbiote and DC’s kid-like Superman.Īmalgam Comics was a joint venture between Marvel and DC that started with the 1996 crossover event DC vs Marvel, which pitted some of the most popular characters of both publishing companies against one another in a fan-decided tournament. Much like Bizarro, this strange combo speaks with childlike affectations, but like Carnage it is a cold-blooded killer who needs to graft onto a host in order to survive. This combined version of the DC and Marvel villains is created by the Amalgam Earth’s version of Project Cadmus when they attempt to clone alien DNA and accidentally create a nightmarish symbiote. In Amalgam Comics' Spider-Boy #1, by Karl Kesel and Mike Wieringo, fans get to see a merged version of Carnage and Bizarro named Bizarnage. In all versions, this villain/anti-hero has the same powers as the Man of Steel, but - unlike Carnage - is usually depicted as a gentle and child-like soul. Mxyzptlk, or even the Joker when he had the powers of Mxyzptlk. He’s had a few origins over the years, but the most tend to be failed clones of Superman that were either created by Lex Luthor, or Mr. He talks in opposites bad is good, hello is goodbye. Similarly, Bizarro is the backwards version of Superman. Carnage's first host was serial killer Cletus Kasady, and after they merge they symbiot revels in his power to take life, and is a remorseless, if not gleeful murderer. ![]() However, where Spider-Man believes in using his power responsibly, and even Venom has shifted into responsible heroism, Carnage is the complete opposite. The red alien symbiote known as Carnage is the offspring of the Venom symbiote, which in turn is a villainous reflection of Spider-Man. ![]() They are both twisted versions of the heroes they battle. In a way Bizarro and Carnage have a few things in common. Carnage has had a few hosts over the years, but maybe none as bizarre as the reverse-Superman known as Bizarro. In the Marvel Universe there is almost no entity more terrifying than the Carnage symbiote, a creature so powerful that it turned even DC's strangest villain, Bizarro, into a force to be reckoned with. ![]()
